University of Arizona Mission Integration Lab

Description

Welcome to innovation at new heights! The Mission Integration Lab is a one-of-a-kind research facility where science meets the stars. Spanning 5,000 square feet, this space was built to help the University of Arizona launch big ideas—literally. Inside, researchers prepare high-altitude balloons and cutting-edge equipment for atmospheric exploration. One standout feature? A powerful crane that glides through giant 40-foot-tall hangar doors to lift and test equipment before it takes to the skies. Thoughtfully designed to face south, the building even aligns with the stars for testing. From the sleek concrete structure to the surrounding work yard and emergency power setup, every detail helps support bold discoveries above the Earth and beyond.
