Ground Breaking Ceremony at the Mohave County Reach Out Facility

Under the golden morning sun on September 24, 2024, a meaningful step forward was taken in Kingman as Concord General Contracting joined Mohave County officials and community members to break ground on a very special project—the new Mohave County Reach Out Facility.

This new facility isn’t just another building. It’s a symbol of second chances, healing, and community support. Designed to assist individuals as they transition out of incarceration and back into everyday life, the Reach Out Facility offers a more compassionate, whole-person approach to re-entry—providing the tools and resources people need to rebuild and thrive.

The groundbreaking event drew an enthusiastic crowd, including Supervisor Hildy Angius, Sheriff Doug Schuster, and other passionate leaders and residents, all united by a common goal: making their community stronger and more supportive. Supervisor Angius shared heartfelt words, saying, “When the client gets better, the whole community benefits.”

This effort is being made possible through a close partnership between Mohave County, LGA Architecture, and Concord General Contracting, working together to bring this vision to life.

So, what can the community expect?

The facility will feature two floors, each with a clear purpose:

  First Floor: A welcoming regrouping space for individuals being released from the neighboring Adult Detention Facility, helping them get their bearings and find direction.

  Second Floor: A dedicated area offering detox and mental health services—resources that can be truly life-changing for those in need.
