Building Brighter Futures: Concord General Contracting Joins Frye Elementary School in Celebrating the Completion of their New Media Center and STEM LabrnrnOn January 30, 2025, Frye Elementary School students and staff, along with community members, gathered to celebrate the grand reopening of the school’s newly renovated media center and STEM lab with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. This renovation is part of Chandler Unified School District’s Reimagination Project, an initiative aimed at modernizing learning spaces across the district’s elementary campuses. The new space, built by Concord General Contracting and designed by BWS Architects, will foster collaboration, encourage hands-on learning, and provide students with the tools they need to become the future leaders of America.rnrnThe ribbon cutting ceremony began with a heartfelt speech by one of Frye Elementary School’s student council members, where she welcomed the students, staff, and parents of Frye Elementary School, along with Concord General Contracting, BWS Architects, Chandler Unified School District staff and board members, and community leaders. After a rousing performance by the school’s choir, the students flooded into the new robotics room. This addition to the school is intended to foster innovation and promote future career paths for students.rnrn“The reimagining of Hull Elementary is a shining example of what we can accomplish when we work together,” said Principal Josh Cagle. “This center is about building skills, confidence, and a passion for discovery.” The robotics room will be a place for students to come together to innovate and learn in an imaginative and flexible environment.rnrnThe overarching theme of the ceremony was “forward”—signifying the school’s goal to foster the education and growth of their students. With the collaborative tech spaces and VEX Robotics area, the robotics room will play a key role in this objective.rnrn rnrnA Sunny Halloween: Sanborn Celebrates New Space for Art and ActionrnrnOn Thursday, October 31, 2024, Concord General Contracting joined Orcutt | Winslow to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony of Sanborn Elementary School’s brand-new amphitheater and physical education space. This cool, sunny Halloween morning was perfect for everyone to gather beneath the shaded concrete benches of the theatrical amphitheater.rnrn“Through the reimagination process of Sanborn, we have created spaces that will inspire collaborative learning, fitness, and creativity,” said Frank Narducci, Superintendent, “From the versatile training area to the pickleball courts, these spaces will become the backdrop of countless memories, discoveries, and successes.”rnrnThe reimagination included a mini soccer field, an outdoor classroom space, and a refurbished ramada with a new fan to allow the outdoor fun to continue through summer. The Sanborn Suns are ready to rise and shine their way to a more creative and active future.rnrn rnrnConcord Upgrades Conley to the 21st CenturyrnrnOn Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Concord General Contracting joined Conley Elementary School for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the creation of the Coyote Innovation Center. This modernized media center provides a creative and flexible space for students to engage and learn in a variety of subjects including gardening, science, and cooking.rnrn“The Coyote Innovation Center is much more than just a building,” said Principal Lisa Shore, “it is a dynamic hub for imagination and learning. Here, students will have the chance to collaborate, think like inventors, and expand their understanding of the world.” The media center includes a new breakout room, a multipurpose classroom, a kitchen space, and a reimagined library.rnrnWith all these upgrades and additions to their school, the students are eager to begin using the Coyote Innovation Center. From cooking vegetables grown from their very own garden to playing with remote controlled robots in their multipurpose room, there is plenty of educational fun to experience.
